Dr. Emily Nesic (formerly Dr. Gerber) grew up in Peru, Illinois, a small town near Starved Rock State Park. Her mother, a dental hygienist, stressed the importance of oral hygiene at a young age, thus inspiring Emily to pursue a career in dentistry. Graduating cum laude from Loyola University Chicago, Dr. Nesic earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology while also obtaining a minor in Psychology. After college, she continued her education at Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine where she graduated cum laude and received the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry award.
While studying at SIU School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Nesic was selected to become a student mentor and tutor. With her position, she helped many underclassmen succeed academically while also facilitating the development of their clinical hand skills. Dr. Nesic was actively involved in volunteering with multiple organized events where she participated in providing free oral health services to Veterans and underserved children. She is deeply motivated by her desire to help others and intends to become involved in local volunteer opportunities in the Lake Geneva area.
Dr. Nesic believes in treating all patients with kindness and respect in a comfortable environment. Additionally, she values how dentistry affords her the opportunity to get to know her patients on a personal level. She is passionate about dental medicine and understands the importance of staying current with evolving techniques and materials to provide state-of-the-art treatment options to her patients.
Dr. Nesic resides in Lake Geneva with her husband, and Yorkshire Terrier, Gracie. Outside of the office she enjoys being outdoors, traveling, getting creative with her Cricut crafting machine, cooking, and rooting for Chicago sports.
